When should I start using shoes for my baby who is transitioning from crawling to walking?

Asked 2 years ago

I didn't get any shows for crawling but my baby just started walking last week. I want to invest in shoes for him but not sure what to get - or if I even need at this stage. When do I need to buy his first pair of shoes?

It is preferable to wait until your kid is walking consistently and confidently outside before purchasing their first pair of shoes. Until then, your baby can walk around the house in bare feet or socks to help develop their foot muscles and balance.

When it comes time to buy shoes, ensure sure they fit properly and have a flexible sole to allow for natural foot movement. To guarantee that the shoes fit properly, get your baby's feet measured by a specialist.
