How long does the transition from crawling to walking usually take?

Asked 2 years ago

Our baby started crawling 2 months ago and we are wondering how long it will take for him to walk? He hasn't pulled to stand yet.

The transition from crawling to walking is different for each infant, but most newborns take their first steps between the ages of 9 and 12 months. Some babies may begin walking as early as 9 months of age, while others may not begin walking until they are 16 months of age or older. It is critical to remember that each baby grows at their own speed, and there is no right or wrong timing to begin walking. If you have any worries regarding your baby's growth, you should always consult with your paediatrician.
