Hello. We try to put toys around her and hope she would reach and grab them but she doesn't. She is 5 months old and puts her hands out for her bottle and pacifier. What else can we do?

You can attempt a few ways to encourage your 5-month-old infant to reach for and grab items. To stimulate reaching actions, place toys within their visual range but just out of reach. To attract their interest, use toys with unusual materials or noises. Allow them to practise tummy time under supervision in order to build their upper body and hand muscles.
