What are some gross motor milestones to look for in a 6-month-old?
Asked a year ago
My 6 month old has just started trying to hold almost all of her weight when I hold her in a standing position. I've read that this is one gross motor milestone. We are so excited for this stage as we are an active family. What else can we expect?

Exciting times ahead! At this age, your baby will be able to roll independently from back to tummy. They will also be able to prop their bodies in the sitting position using their hands placed on the floor, their strength is growing everyday and will be able to hold themselves on their hands and knees while attempting to move forward.
