Our favorite way at the moment is to let them draw and paint on vertical surfaces (we paste the paper on walls). But this is getting old for my two toddlers and we would like to alternate between activities. What else can we do?

Fine motor exercises can be incorporated into gross motor play in a variety of ways. Consider activities such as constructing with blocks, playing with big beads or lacing toys, transferring things with tongs or scoops, threading ribbons through a play tunnel or engaging in water play with pouring and stirring activities. These activities allow for the development of both fine motor skills and gross motor exploration.
