Hey! I am aware that all strollers, prams and buggies etc has to comply with the British Standard 7409:1996 or BS EN 1888:2003. Do stroller trikes need to comply as well? How can I check that my stroller trike has met these safety standards?

Yes stroller trikes need to comply as well, all of the trikes with SmarTrike have been certified but you can also check for yourself by running a few simple checks (especially if buying second hand); check the brakes, harness, stability, locking devices, steering, backrest and weight limit. The easiest way to tell is to look for the label that contains the identification of the UK manufacturer and the number and date of the British standard.
