My child is 6 months this June - can I buy her a trike this early or should I wait?

I've seen many parents and toddlers enjoying the stroller trikes and there's a lot of fuss around its benefits. And believe the fuss because it's coming from my parenting group! I want one as soon as possible. Is 6 months too early?
