Will regular walks in a baby trike help my baby identify and differentiate objects?

My toddler is inquisitive. He enjoys playing with things especially if you leave him alone for a few minutes. I want him to recognize things independently and develop his memory and intelligence. My coworker suggested we get him a baby trike with a stroller attachment and go on short sight-seeing walks. Is this a good approach?
